Growth Habit & Mature Size:

Perennial herb, 12–24 inches tall, with erect, branching stems and hairy, glandular leaves. Produces clusters of yellow, five-petaled flowers at the stem tips.

 

Light & Soil Requirements:

Full sun; thrives in sandy, loamy, or rocky soils with good drainage. Tolerates seasonal dryness once established.

 

Willamette Valley Native Companion Plants:

Camassia quamash, Achillea millefolium, Eriophyllum lanatum, Sidalcea campestris, Festuca roemeri.

 

Urban Garden Function:
