Perennial fern, 4–10 feet tall, with large, arching fronds that form dense, upright clumps. Fronds are pinnately compound with toothed leaflets and distinctive chain-like sori along the undersides.

Light & Soil Requirements:

Partial to full shade; thrives in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soils. Prefers consistently damp, shaded conditions and tolerates occasional seasonal wetness.
